In iun. edu, it explained that the Japanese became focused on giving full employment to the people. It was not a welfare state but was able to accomplish this. It reduced the problems of providing benefits to unemployed people. This made it possible for people to be able to pay their own pension with their company having a 50/50 share. Unlike the US social security system. They were encouraged to be in their company for life, with a promise of the pension they would get on their retirement. It made it Japanese pension more stable.
