    multi-cameral representation

    Explanation:

The Virginia Plan was plan that was suggested by the representatives of Virginia. This plan was suggesting that there should be a bicameral legislative branch. This actually turned out to be implemented in practice, and the United States actually do have a bicameral legislative branch. The reason why this was suggested by the Virginia delegates was that no political entity is able to have too much power in the country and act as it wants without having anyone to stop it. By having bicameral system, it was guaranteed that the political entity that leads the nations regulated by the opposition, as every law has to pass through two different chambers, in one of which the leading party has the majority, while in the other the opposition has the majority. This was also seen as perfect mechanism for preventing tyranny, and for the people's interests to be protected.
