    The one way the United Nations promotes international peace:

    According to the UN Charter, the UN will maintain international peace by eliminating all threats that arise peacefully in accordance with the principles of standards and global justice.

    This is one way of maintaining international peace by the United Nations as specified by the UN Charter. The other ways of resolving includes settlements, adjustments, etc. Thus, by all these and few other ways, UN tries to maintain International peace.

    The United Nations Charter says the UN has as one of its main goals maintain international peace and security. It says that all member states should fulfill their obligations in good faith; all members shall settle disputes by peaceful means; members shall refrain from the threat of the use of force or the use of force against the territorial integrity or independence of another states. According to the Charter, the Security Council is the only body entitled to authorize the use of force.
