Moreover, the shape of the pyramids was also significant. The shape of Egyptian pyramids was thought to represent the primordial mound or hill from which the Egyptians believed the earth was created. Besides, the shape of a pyramid was thought to be representative of the descending rays of the sun and The Egyptians also believed that the dark area of the night sky around which the stars appeared to revolve was the physical gateway into the heavens.
