    Answer: one of the causes of industrial revolution = psychological and philosophical causes: Cartesian division of all the being in 1) conscious substance (soul = ego) which is animated and 2) pure material objects (not animated). Like that the world that was animated (in paganism, Christianity) became unanimated, purely material, dead matter. This attitude was expressed in Descartes' dualism of "res cogitans" and "res extensa" and was widely accepted in European thought and enabled purely matterialistic approach to the world and nature, i. e. facilited industrialization.

    Explanation: this process originated in Europe and took place in Europe.
