    Imperialism is connected to race and religion as the belief that one's race is more superior makes one think that they must conquer and dominate those who are inferior thus shown through imperialism. As for religion, those who are superior believe it is their obligation or the White Man's Burden to civilize "ignorant" people through imperialism.

    Racism played a big role in imperialism. Their advanced technology, many Europeans believe they were the best and the brightest (their race is better than others). As for religion playing a big role and being connected to imperialism, the push for expansion came from missionaries who attempted to civilize or westernize the people of foreign land
