The Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente contributed to the start of World War I by increasing tensions between European countries.

    Explanation:

The Triple Alliance and Triple Entente were two opposing alliances formed in Europe. Triple Alliance composed of Germany, Italy and Austria-Hungary. Triple Entente included France, Russia and Great Britain.

With the formation of two strong alliances that opposed each other, the tensions in Europe increased. This eventually led to the World War 1.
