What were the outcomes and global effects of World War I?

    -WW1 changed the economical balance of the world, making the U. S. the leading industrial power while leaving European countries in dept. America had stabilized its position as a global power.

    -WW1 changed how people fight wars, both in tactics (it was the first "trench" war) and with new weapons.

    -Woman generally gained more economic and social freedom/equality because they had to run businesses (that previously only men could run) while men were at war.

    -The League of Nations was founded.

    -WW1 largely marked the end of colonialism.
