Describe the main physical features of Africa

Northern Africa is covered by a huge, hot, dry desert (the Sahara).

Right below that is the Sahel, which transitions between the Sahara and savanna.

From Morocco to Tunisia, there's a long mountain range.

Most of central Africa is savanna, which gets enough rain to support the grassy landscape.

Further south, Africa is covered by moist, humid rainforest.

Sandy and hot around Egypt. And some where around south Africa is a rain forest
