    On May 10,1869, the first ever transcontinental railroad is completed. During this time, a golden spike was driven at Prpmpntpry, Utah to signal the completion of the first ever transcontinental railroad in the United States which is a long dream for people living in the West of America.

    The Credit Mobilier of America scandal of was publicize and gathered public’s attention in 1872 untiil 1873 damaging the careers of several Gilded age politicians.

    On 1887, the Interstate Commerce Act was passed by the congress which makes the railroads the first industry that is subject to Federal regulation. It is designated to regulate railroad industry, most especially the practice of monopoly. It aims to make the railroad rates reasonable and just.
