When we are talking about geographical position of an area we have to consider few factors that are forming our perception. The terrain, nature, the location, distance to major landmarks and landscape. All of these combined form our perception of a certain are or a region. Usually, regions are differentiated by geographical landmarks.

There are many ways in which geography influences the opinions and perceptions of a particular area. For example, in places where the weather is more temperate, people will spend more time outside, and socialization is likely to be more important to them. Another example is that an area that is easily accessible will likely have cultural exchange with many people, and this will most likely make the people less private and close-minded.
