Discuss at least two effects on U. S. citizens that stem from the division of power between the federal and state governments.

    1) Before the Supreme Court ruled marriage equality for all, it depended on the state people lived in whether gay marriage was allowed - which influenced the lives of the people greatly.

    2) Because certain laws concerning health are left to the state, people's health care, such as that of reproductive system, can depend on where they life - this is only the case because US has the division of power and would not be the case in a unitary state
