It has been theorized that the destruction of the Minoan Civilization and the eruption of the Santorini Volcano, almost 3,500 years ago. For many years, the views and theories of archaeologists have diverged. Relatively recently though, new discoveries in Palaikastro in Crete give us enough hints for a plausible explanation.
