    Explanation:

    The Great Depression hit Japan hard because the countrie's prosperity depended on foreign trade. As the rest of the world, Japan's government had a hard time solving the economic crisis, because of that the population turned to the military as a solution.

    The military began to take matters into its own hands and by 1932 military leaders had set up a military dictatorship in Japan.

    Japanese military assassinated powerful politicians and businessmen that stood in their way and turned population into ultranationalism, ancient warrior values were revived. Schools preached absolute obedience and service to the state.
