    Sugar Coffee Tobbacco

    The economy of Saint Domingue heavily relied on slavery which was very harsh having a high rate of mortality and violence. Before the Revolution in Haiti, Saint Domingue was producing over 40% of the sugar and 60% of the coffee that was imported to Europe.
