To understand the economy and social conditions that existed in Europe during the 1930s, we need to understand the aftermath of World war I. Europe after the war was very much suffering in the economy with many countries in dept. German was humiliated by the Treaty of Versailles, asked to pay the large reparations to the allies along with other agreements which affected the social and economic conditions for the German people. The 1930s, known for its mass poverty and violent extremism, led in the rise of the populist, nationalist movements in Europe.

Europe became the darkest and bloodiest in the World, with the emerging of the political parties later turned into dictators in the countries like German and Italy to come into power under the dictatorship of Hitler and Mussolini.
