What forces led America to declare war in 1812

One of the reasons America declared war on Britain in 1812 was because the British kept impressing American sailors. Impressment means that the British sailors were forcibly taking American sailors off of American ships claiming that they were actually British citizens. This enraged President James Madison and he called for war.
