How did the war alter the lives of women on the home front, and what did different groups think would happen after the war?

During the war men were sent off to war front so women couldn't stay back and work in the homes they had to go out and become nurses and workers and after the war was over the people realized how much the women could do and so they let the women keep their jobs.
