prompted Thomas Jefferson to express the view that "a little rebellion now and then is a good thing" for America ... I am impatient to learn your sentiments on the late troubles in the Eastern states.
Thomas Jefferson never said, "every generation needs a new revolution", but he did say, "a little rebellion now and then is a good thing."
