    PERT is a project management tool. It is used to find time it will take to finish a project. It is a chart used to plan the tasks within a project to make the scheduling and coordinating of team members to accomplish the work. It was developed in 1950s to efficiently manage the the defence projects and creation of weapons in US navy. A similar method that was used in private sector called Critical path.
