    The Enlightenment, in regards to early American History was also known as the Age of Reason, many believed that through the power of reason, human society could be understood, improved, and perhaps even perfected.

    Explanation:

    It was in this age the process of intellectual thinking fermented in the thirteen colonies. This was the brain child which eventually resulted in the American war of Independence. The age of enlightenment's comprised of European philosophies and native American philosophies too.

    This eventually lead to the build up of educational institutions which imparted education kept in mind about the age of enlightenment. Existing educational institutions modified their curriculum. A lot of fields like religion, architecture and intellectual thinking were influenced.
