Ma'at is an ancient Egyptian goddess of justice, truth, harmony, and balance. She is considered more of a concept than a goddess. She was a model for human behaviour in conformity with the will of gods, the universal order that is evident in the heavens, mirror of celestial beauty and cosmic balance upon the earth. Early Egyptians were aware o the cosmic order; The priest-astronomers observed the heavens noted that the earth responded to the orbits of the earth and stars. The Egyptian priest taught that man had been commanded to reflect divine harmony by an assumption of quietude spirit, cooperation, reasonable behaviour and the recognition of external qualities of existence as shown by the earth and sky.

Egyptians had an anticipation of becoming part of the cosmos after their death thus they had a responsibility to act according to its laws.

A strict adherence to Ma'at made Egyptians to feel safe and secure with the world and creations divine plan.

we do not have a similar culture but the American Eagle a seal of the United States, a bald eagle spreading its wing to symbolise power may be closed to the Ma'at.
