Answer: The Paper House (USA) was built in 1922 in Rockport, Massachusetts as a summer retreat. It was a curiosity project of the engineer, Elis Stenman, to test the resilience of paper.

Explanation: In 1922, an mechanical engineer named Elis Stenman took his hobby of reading the morning newspaper to a whole new level by building a summer house for him and his wife, Esther, in Rockport, Massachusetts, out of newspapers and the like. Naturally curious, he wanted to test out the sturdiness of paper and its ability to maintain eligible print (the ability to still read the words) over a long period of time. The house itself is built with a traditional wooden roof and supports but the walls and most furniture such as a Grandfather clock and writing desk are made entirely out of newspapers of which Stenman collected and his friends/acquaintances donated to him. It took a mere 10 years for the house to gain popularity and become a classical sensation because of course, who on Earth builds a house out of paper? Elis Stenman, that's who. To this day, the Paper House of Rockport, Massachusetts remains a popular roadside attraction.
