Why would the government want to move native americans off their land?

    Andrew Jackson moved them to the west of the mississipi river in exchange for their lands. Andrew Jackson signed a law called Indian Removal Act, this law meant that Andrew would make an agreement with the indians and move them to the west of the mississipi river in echange for their lands.
