Jefferson made sure to officially announce the freedom of the American Colonies from any external influence and power such as of the British. He wrote down the announced freedom in his Declaration of Independence thus contributing the concept of complete independence to the American Revolution.

    Explanation:

Jefferson supported the idea of complete freedom, so when he was elected to lead in the Continental Congress he made sure to authorize all his decisions officially. The American colonies were fighting to overthrow British colonial rule for a long time and Jefferson made sure that the colonies got their freedom by announcing it officially in his Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence was democratic in nature and held supreme authority and power.
