Why was federalists an appropriate name for alexander hamilton's political party? because members believed in keeping the federal government weak because members believed in a strong federal government because members believed in a strict interpretation of the constitution because members believed in the express powers of the constitution

    Federalism is the seperation of powers between the National gov't and state government. I believe the answer is the third choice : believed in express of powers
