The events that took place during the Presidency of Thomas Jefferson were the First Barbary War, the Louisiana Purchase, the Embargo Act, and the funding of the Lewis and Clark Expedition,

    Explanation:

Jefferson's inauguration was held on March 4, 1801 in Washington. Two months later, on May 10, the First Barbary War started against Tripolitania.

One of the greatest achievements of Jefferson's first presidency was the purchase of Louisiana territory from France for $15 million. The purchase of Louisiana nearly doubled the size of the United States. In addition, Jefferson organized the Lewis and Clark expedition to draw maps and collect data from western North America. In the 1804 election, Jefferson resumed his job by defeating the federalist candidate Charles Pinckney with over 70 percent support.

In his second term, Jefferson tried to keep the United States separate from the Napoleonic wars in Europe. However, when France and the United Kingdom began to disrupt American merchant ships, Jefferson decided to enact the Embargo Act in 1807. The decision caused great disaffection among the Americans and severely damaged the country's economy. The law was not abolished until the next President, James Madison, in 1808.
