The Middle Passage was one route in the Triangle Trade across the Atlantic, which Africans from Africa to the slave markets in North America, South America, and the Caribbean were transported. The Middle Passage was named so because it was the middle part of the Triangular trade between western Europe, Africa and America; ships sailed from Europe with goods for the African market to Africa, where the goods were sold or exchanged for slaves. With the slaves they sailed to America and the Caribbean, which have been traded on slave markets for goods that could be sold on the European market, after which returned to Europe.
