USS Constitution verses HMS Guerriere was in action between the two ships during the war of 1812, approximately 400 miles south east of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Americans removed the crew and set Guerriere on fire before returning to Boston with lose a victory, which proved to be important for American morale.
