    Child labor was predominate in the Industrial Revolution Era because Factory owners knew that they could pay children lower wages and still get the work done than paying Adults higher wages to get the same work done.

    And because of the nimbleness of the children hands they could work Machines easier and faster than adults would have so this gave Factory owners the reason to employ many children during that time.

    over 50% of workers in British factories where children during the 1800's while there were over 750000 children working in American factories in 1870.
