    The Ashikaga shogunate was a dynasty started from one of the excess of Japanese daimyōs which ruled Japan from the year 1338 through 1573. This was the time in which Oda Nobunaga overthrew Ashikaga Yoshiaki. The rulers of government were the shoguns where each one was an associate of the Ashikaga clan. They are best described as a regional multi state system centered in Kyoto.
