The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 established minimum wages and abolished child labor in the US.

    Explanation:

Due to the oppressive nature of work in the US, President Roosevelt during his term from 1933 to 1945 tried to improve working conditions and also to abolish child labor. As a result, the Fair Labor Standards Act came into enactment in 1938. It established minimum wages for the workers (25 cents), reduced minimum age to be employed to 16 and maximum possible hours of work to 44. This was to be reduced further in the coming years. It succeeded in improving working conditions and also in abolishing child labor.
