The dropping of the nuclear bombs brought the war in the pacific i=to an end.

    Explanation:

The nuclear bombs were dropped by the USA in 1945 after the surrender of Germany in the continent front and after the Russian soldiers had already entered Berlin.

Although the war was officially believed to be lost by the forces, Japanese had kept fighting on an almost kamikaze war over the USA in the pacific theater hoping for some gains.

This was stopped by USA when they dropped their two nuclear bombs on the country in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
