What caused the Hebrew people to choose to leave Egypt? They were ordered by God to return to Ur. They wanted to leave a life of slavery in Egypt. They were fleeing a drought and famine in Egypt. They needed a new place to feed and water their animals.

    I think it is they wanted to leave the life of slavery to go to god's promised land.

    Explanation:

    In the famous bible story, god released several plagues upon egypt and at first released bugs and vermin, then it started raining blood, and finally he killed the firstborns of every household that did not have lamb's blood painted on the door then the emperor allowed Moses to take his people and leave.
