    The correct answer is C democracy was founded in Athens (one of the largest and most cultured city-states in Greece) The Romans liked Greek culture and adopted many ideas from them including but not limited to architecture, religion, and government. The Roman senators is what we based our government partly off of and while B is true it is not the correct answer because many other empires before them did that as well.
