How did the Articles of Confederation influence people to create a new federal government in the United States?

the articles of confederation lead people to understand there was a need for a stronger government with more regulations giving civilians more freedom and control. this led to the constitutional convention in 1787 which ultimately led to the constitution. this along with the bill of rights changed the way the government was run. it took away their ability to have complete and total control. the real power of law making now belonged to those that people in positions of power governed; the people.
