The Montgomery bus boycott was the protest of the African Americans who protested to ride in the buses of Montgomery because there was discrimination among the seating of the bus and they fought for their civil rights.

The way in which the boycott was organised, non violence, the interference of the federal government in the boycott and the unity of the community of the African american were the reasons which were responsible for the success of the boycott.
