Teddy Roosvelt was awarded with the nobel prize because he negotiated the treaty that put and end to the Russian-Japanese war. However, he always believed in the big stick policy described as: Speak sofltly and carry a stick, you will go very far. The great moment for him was when the Great White Fleet (the powerful US Navy, consisted of 16 battleships divided into two squadrons) completed a journey around the world by order of Theodore Roosvelt.
