The Roosevelt Corollary is an addendum to the Monroe Doctrine, which establish the doctrine that Europe should stay out of the affairs of the Western Hemisphere.

The Roosevelt Corollary essentially made America the policemen for the Western Hemisphere, whether the other countries wanted it or not.

This quote is an example of America's justification for getting overly involved in the lives of other countries in the Western hemisphere.
