Were Romans more invested with war than with anything else? Such as art and religion.

    Romans were truly invested in war, as they were in art and religion. However, Rome was more or less always in a state of war or readiness for war for its people believed that it is necessary to defend and impose on others their cultural superiority. Romans had plenty of military victories and had a huge pol of trained men, disciplined and innovative. Men from the age of 16-60 were involved in Roman warfare. All of them swore an oath of allegiance to the emperor.
