What is imperialism? What might be good things about being an imperialist nation? What might be some bad things about it? What are two or three ways that these imperialist ideals might have led to the first World War?

    The advantages of imperialism:

    - imperialism brought industrialization and globalization

    - countries that were colonized by superpowers received excellent infrastructure, as well as innovations in the fields of health, science, etc.

    Cons of imperialism:

    - social tension

    - exploitation of cheap labor and raw materials

    During the development of imperialism, the First World War was brewing. The war was caused by:

    - aggravation of the uneven development of capitalist countries and the contradictions between them,

    - a fierce struggle for the redivision of the world between the two military-political groups of the European powers - the Entente and the Triple Alliance,

    - arms race.
