I believe that the most effective way to to get attention of local officials would be to hold a press conference so officials will see the medias involvement. If he did that the officials would not be shrouded with an imminent issue such as protesting which would most likely end with riot control not a true consensus between the officials and Jason. If he made an advertising campaign would the officials really be concerned since he didn't direct it at them. That is why if he held a press conference it would be the most effective, the officials would see his ability to remain calm and collected when he really wants something. They would be unable to see him or not pay attention to him since he would be holding a conference that they would be attending so the issue would be prominent to them and it also shows the desire he has to provide more public spaces for his community.
