    Loyalists - the people that supported the British rule in the 13 colonies - though that these colonies had no chance to defeat the strong English Army. However, Patriots - the ones that supported the claim of independence from England - were decided to gain their liberty. That represented the beginning of the Revolutionary War in April 1775. Although the Continental Army led by George Washington had a lack of money and equipment, it ended up winning the war in September 1873.
