How did Samuel Slater and Francis Cabot Lowell change early American industry?

The main way in which Samuel Slater and Francis Cabot Lowell changed early American industry was that they both greatly developed the major aspects of the Industrial Revolution in the US. Slater brought the textile technology from Britain, and Lowell created one of the first major textile machines in the US around 1810.
