What are the positions of federalists and anti-federalists when it comes to federal versus state power, taxation, and position on changing the constitution?

    1.) Federal vs state power:

    -Federalists believed in a strong federal government.

    -Anti-Federalists, also known as Democratic Republicans, supported a stronger state government.

    2.) Taxation:

    -Federalists Believed that the government should be able to tax American citizens directly.

    -Anti Federalists did not believe the Constitution gave the authority to tax citizens of America.

    3.) Changing of the Constitution:

    -Federalists had a broad, loose interpretation of the Constitution, which meant that if there was a change needed, there would be little opposition.

    -Anti Federalists had a stricter, more narrow perception. They only wanted the most essential changes to be accepted. They also believed that the Constitution gave too much control to central government.
