The correct answer to the question: Which was not a characteristic of American Indians, would be: There were four different tribes in the Americas.

    Explanation:

Although research is still being carried out about Native American life before Europeans entered the new continent, it is very well known that these dwellers entered around 60.000 to a bit beyond 15.000 years ago, that agriculture did develop in Mexico and the Andean region about the same time as Mesopotamia, around 9000 years before and that in the Americas there were no large domesticable animals to be used as livestock, which is why many, if not most, of the Indian tribes depended on the land and what it would provide. However, there was one thing from the options that would never be true: there were not just 4 different tribes in the Americas, but a lot of them, and that is only looking at North America. Just in North America, the number of tribes ascended into double digits. That is why the second one is the correct option.
