    Granaries has been discovered at various sies such as Harappa, Mohanjo-Daro and Lothal. The granary at Mohenjo-Daro was 45 meters in length and 15 metres in width. Two rows of granaries were found in Harappa.

    The working floors with circular brick platforms were found in the south of the granaries. It is believed that it was used for threshing grains, remains of wheat and barley were found in the cracks of the floor. Two roomed barracks were also found, it is believed to have housed the labourers. The granaries were built on the raised platform so that it can be protected from the floods.
