While the factor that attracts migrants to a place or country is called pull factor. Unemployment is a push factor, it is prevalent in third world countries. While abundance of jobs is a pull factor of developed countries. Higher wages, better working conditions are also pull factors. Civil strife and environmental issues are other push factors. For the people migrating from Syria to other countries safety is a pull factor as it is torn apart by civil war.
