    Ghurid dynasty

    They were a dynasty of mostly Iranian descent and the language of choice was Persian. They also converted from Buddhism to Islam and built many mosques and spread religious beliefs. They were eventually succeeded by the Mamluks of the Delhi sultanate in Northern India.
