The people that invaded the Iberian peninsula have been many throughout history. We can refer as far back as the Roman Empire that invaded the Iberian peninsula in 218 BC when the Empire fought against the Carthaginians during the Second Punic Wars. Then, in the 580s, the Iberian peninsula was invaded by different Germanic tribes such as the Vandals, the Suebi, and the Visigoths.
